Truth is after a few minutes, you won’t be faking. The natural performer will rise and the show will be amazing. Put yourself in the moment and if you must, fake the confidence, fake the energy, fake the passion because your audience is waiting for you to entertain the – that’s your job as a performer.
Sometimes even with “regular jobs” we don’t want to get up, we don’t want to go into work but we have to put on our big boy pants and get to it. Fake it until it becomes real, then everything else will fade away and you will truly be in the moment.

In this episode I discuss why the audience is important as well as 2 key ways to connect with your audience from the stage. The first is being passionate in every moment that you are on stage. The Audience can tell if you are just going through the motion; you have to genuinely FEEL what you are putting out. The second way is timing. I review important questions to ask yourself when visualizing your show I cover how you can elicit the reaction you want from the crown at the moments you want them.
This is the introductory episode for the Mic Drop Method, a training and coaching program in development with a focus on improving on stage performance using some of the tips reviewed on this episode and other.

Jealousy is an ugly monster that will contort the person you are and change you into someone you would never have imagined yourself to be and someone you will look back and be ashamed of.
It cannot be stressed enough that you should not focus on the success of others. You must continue to focus on your path and your art in order to truly be successful.
Tearing down other artists will only spawn more and more hate and negativity .
We need to push ourselves to a positive journey and learn from others as a way to improve ourselves.
Talking crap and tearing down will only lead you down a lonely path that lands you behind a desk…not on a stage in front of thousands.
